A home renovation and design platform has revealed which breathtaking bedrooms, glamorous bathrooms, trendy living areas and inspiring outdoor spaces have most inspired interiors fans around the world.
The top-rated designs, all of which are featured in homes in the UK, have been honoured with a Best of Houzz 2016 award, which are given out in the first month of each year.
The pictures show off the work of interior designers, builders, architects, landscape and home improvement professionals that are most saved to ‘ideabooks’ by Houzz’s 35 million monthly global users.

However despite the world of interiors becoming ever more bling, with high-end designers like Versace and Fendi moving into the property space, it appears a more casual sense is still favoured by many.
One of the site’s most-popular images shows a small kitchen in Clarendon Road, London, by interior designers Sigmar. A black brick wall gives the space a cool industrial style.
A wall-hung wine rack and free-standing ladder also add quirky touches. And according to the designers, the statement black wall paint is in fact magnetic so the wall can double as a notice board.
Another popular image depicts an average-sized bathroom with an equally subtle design scheme. The classic but modern space features grey tiles, dark wooden floorboards and a personal typography poster on the wall.

In her post, the designer describes the property as having a ‘calming colour scheme throughout’.
The renovation features Indian stone tiles with underfloor heating and beautiful bespoke wooden elements such as an Ash tree coffee table and a floor-to-ceiling log stack for the fireplace.
One of the less easily replicated room schemes features a jaw-dropping bedroom with a glass wall overlooking a lush woodland.
Among the most favoured outdoor spaces, is a roof terrace in London designed by Town and Country Gardens and Adolfo Harrison Gardens, which features wooden decking furnished with a wood-framed outdoor sofa and coffee table
The image, which has been saved to more than 36,000 ideabooks, was posted by the Natural Bed Company – who designed the solid maple bed which also features in the bedroom.
And edging into Versace territory is the glamorous bathroom in a Georgian farmhouse in Surrey.
Designed by Milly Goodwin using products from Drummonds Bathrooms, it features a black-framed crystal chandelier above a freestanding bathtub.
Outside, wooden decking is also popular.
Among the most-favoured exterior spaces, is a roof terrace in London designed by Town and Country Gardens and Adolfo Harrison Gardens, which features decking furnished with a matching wood-framed outdoor sofa and coffee table.
