But Britney Spears ended up having to be rescued by a roadie after getting stuck up a tree while performing her number one hit during her show in Las Vegas on Saturday.
The ageing chart star was supposed to fly over fans while attached to a harness, but the device failed as she entertained fans at her popular Piece Of Me residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort And Casino.

The 34-year-old singer was dressed in a typically skimpy red leotard as she warbled her vocals over a slowed down version of the 2004 kitsch classic while standing on a raised platform connected to the tree.
While But a fan video posted on TMZ shows her dramatic set piece which would have seen her soar over the heads of her adoring audience.
The canny old pro did her best to cover up the blunder by gyrating and throwing her blonde mane around, the problem became obvious when one of her backstage lackeys ran up the stairs of the piece of stage scenery
Thankfully her sidekick was able to get her loose, and she ran downstairs to take part in a dance number with her backing performers.

Britney’s show has won rave reviews, with Las Vegas Sun journalist Robin Leach saying she ‘proved that she’s still reigning royalty in the music world.’
Her residency was originally meant to last for two years, but she announced she was extending her stay for a further two years last September.
The mother-of-two performs more than 20 songs during her sets, and is said to rake in $15 million per year.
