He’s the Australian heartthrob known for his high-profile roles in Thor and The Avengers.
But actor Chris Hemsworth has once again spoken about the Hollywood lifestyle, saying he found it ‘suffocating’ – and that he’s delighted to have return Down Under with his young family.
The 32-year-old told Modern Luxury he and wife Elsa Pataky decided to move back to Australia to raise their three kids – daughter India, two, and 12-month-old twin sons Tristan and Sasha.

Making the move: As he posed for this smouldering new photo shoot, Chris Hemsworth told Modern Luxury this week that being surrounded by the entertainment industry in Los Angeles became ‘a bit suffocating’
‘I love what I do as an actor, but when you are surrounded by it constantly, it becomes a bit suffocating,’ he said.
‘It’s nice to have conversations with people and be a part of a community that doesn’t live and breathe that world.
‘We were living shoulder to shoulder in the suburbs and thought that’s not how we want our kids to grow up. Moving to a kind of farm setup back here on the coast in Australia has been the best thing.’
From a land Down Under: The 32-year-old, who was raised in both Melbourne and the Northern Territory, has permanently moved his family back to Australia – having bought a $7.2million property in Byron Bay in 2014
Chris and his family reportedly splashed out on a $7.2 million property in Byron Bay in September 2014 – and has made no secret of wanting his children to grow up in Australia.
The following month, the ex-Home and Away star told Daily Mail Australia: ‘We’re spending more and more time back in Australia and I definitely want the kids to grow up here and spend time here.
‘We were in California a lot I missed it here and my wife missed it too so that was our goal to get back here.’
He has also previously explained that he no longer needs to live in Los Angeles to secure work, having established a reputation as a leading man.
Chris also poses in an accompanying photo shoot for the magazine, with the former Home And Away star smouldering in array of dapper outfits.
