She had already set her sights on becoming a model before appearing on The Biggest Loser Australia in 2006, during which she lost a staggering 30kg off her 101kg frame.
But Fiona Falkiner reveals she ‘lost too much weight to be a plus-size model’ on the reality TV program.
Speaking to Woman’s Day, the 32-year-old blonde beauty, who is now a very successful international model, says she is ‘happier now than when she was skinnier’.
Too much: Fiona Falkiner, seen left before her stint on The Biggest Loser in 2006, reveals she ‘lost too much weight to be a plus-size model’ on the reality TV program. She is seen on the right after the show finished
‘I had the experience of literally going in for a couple of months and coming out – boom, and I was skinny, she explains.
‘It was amazing at the time, but I also realised my problems didn’t have anything to do with the number on the scales.’
Indeed, Fiona’s slender frame was on show during the final reveal on The Biggest Loser and later when she appeared on Dancing With The Stars alongside Amanda Keller, basketballer Andrew Gaze, Tom Waterhouse and now Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth.
