Seven people were killed including an eight-year-old child, and several injured in a murder spree in and around Kalamazoo, Michigan Saturday night.
Kalamazoo Public Safety Chief Jeff Hadley said ‘a strong suspect’ was arrested early Sunday morning, according to WWMT.
Police said the suspect was nabbed in a car that matched the description of the suspected shooter’s and that there was a gun in the car.
The suspect, a 45-year-old white male from Kalamazoo county, reportedly gave up without struggle.

Multiple people died in shootings at the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Texas Township and at the Seelye Ford dealership, Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas told News 8.
Four people died at the restaurant, including an eight-year-old.
Police said the suspect exited his vehicle and shot people while they were sitting in their cars in the parking lot, killing a 14-year-old girl.
A father and son were killed at the car dealership, which is located four miles from the restaurant, police said.
A woman was seriously injured by multiple bullets in a shooting at 5:45pm near the Meadows Townhomes in Richland Township, according to News 8.

Speaking with NBC, Matyas called the situation a ‘worst-case scenario.’
A Kalamazoo resident described the Cracker Barrel restaurant as a ‘friendly, family-oriented place.’
‘It’s crazy. You would never expect this to happen in your city,’ Cameron Wyatt told Daily Mail Online.
Kalamazoo is about 160 miles west of Detroit.
