Amanda Renteria January 8, 2016 There seems to be a lot of Vegans on here who are upset because they feel like they weren't given the knowledge about veganism and how the diet can be procured and used in multiple ways, but I think they are missing the fact that even though these people tried out Vegan diets they truly aren't used to that. Something like veganism will make any meat and dairy eater feel like their options are limited simply because there is a vast assortment of food they are not allowed to eat. For someone used to a vegan diet, the difference is minimal, but these people made a random switch away from their foods they eat everyday for every meal to something out of the norm. I don't think it was put on a negative light at all, it was simply what it was for people unaccustomed to the type of diet. The man who was tired all the time probably just wasn't eating the right things. I'm only tired because of my insomnia. If anything, being vegan has drastically lowered my risk of diabetes and my anemia has almost disappeared. These people were going about it all wrong, to be totally honest. xXButterflyXx94 January 8, 2016 Of course they feel tired and annoyed and hungry for meat and ice cream! It's because they just TEST what it's like to eat vegan for a month but they didn't decide to BE vegans. If you are a vegan you do it because you have good reasons and convictions so you actually enjoy it. I constantly feel tired and I think its because my body is lacking protein." Do people actually know what our body uses protein for because it for sure was not mean to be a direct source of energy. If he was tired that much it was because he probably wasn't consuming enough carbohydrates. We need far more grams of carbohydrates in our diets per day than we do protein. Keeping our protein intake at about 10% of our daily caloric intake is all our body's need to be healthy. One of proteins main function is to repair and maintain tissue, cells and other parts of the human body. Only after its served its true purpose can protein be converted to energy. When the body does not consume enough carbohydrates we start to draw from other sources for energy. If our bodies end up using protein as the main source of energy, as opposed to carbohydrates as the main source of energy, our bodies wouldn't be able to fully replenish and repair cells. Carbohydrates only have one function and it's to fuel the body with the energy it needs. For someone who is not active consuming about an average of 150g per day is the bare minimum in order to be healthy. Someone who is active needs far more than 150g per day. Of course keeping in mind that everyone is different. That's just an average to start working off of. I do however love the idea of this video. I'm just curious as to what they were eating because as a vegan I have never eaten better foods in my entire life.
