Ever wondered what dog breed you most closely resemble? Perhaps you look like a cocker spaniel or an Afghan hound?
Well now animal lovers can find out which of man’s best friends they really look like by uploading a photograph on to new website What-Dog.Net.
The site is a barking follow-up to Microsoft’s addictive age-calculator How-Old.Net which, as the title suggests, calculates the age of the person in the photo – with flattering or insulting results.
The Duchess of Cambridge was matched with the same breed of dog as PM’s wife Samantha Cameron
FEMAIL tested out What-Dog.Net on a host of famous faces including Prime Minister David Cameron, pictured, who turned out to be a Golden Retriever
Neither Kate nor Smythson director Sam Cam, pictured, can be expected to welcome the assertion that they need ‘to be told and told again’
But What-Dog.Net goes a step further also providing insight into the characters of both dog and human.
For example, the site claims the Queen (well known to be a fan of Corgis), is a small, fluffy Pomeranian.
Her majesty is apparently characteristically ‘smart and spirited’ and a ‘great watchdog’ but ‘can be a bit of a barker’.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s doggie-double is an English Cocker Spaniel whose traits include being athletic and outgoing, but the site warned she needed to be ‘told again and again’.
Her husband Prince William turned out to be a Doberman Pinscher who apparently has a ‘powerful instinct to protect’ and is both ‘intelligent and courageous’.
Queen Elizabeth, pictured above with her pet look-a-like Pomeranian, might have preferred to be a Corgi but her ‘smart and spirited’ attributes show pedigree whatever her breed
Footballer David Beckham looks very like the German Shepherd he was matched with on What-Dog.Net
Meanwhile Victoria clearly shows her blue blood by being the same breed of dog as Prince William
‘Powerful and courageous’: Prince William’s Doberman has the right personality to Rule Britannia
Victoria Beckham revealed her Posh credentials sharing Wills’ breed of doberman pinscher and the accompanying traits. Her husband David Beckham is a German shepherd and the site warns that Becks ‘must be kept busy’, listing his attributes as ‘intense’ and ‘highly intelligent’.
Harry Potter author JK Rowling is an unusual Keeshond breed of dog originating from Germany. The deeply private author’s canine attributes are listed as ‘natural guardian, intelligent and cautious of new people’.
Kim Kardashian’s new blonde look means What-Dog.Net has turned her into a Maltese breed of dog (attributes ‘gentle, affectionate with its family, composed demeanour’), but a picture of the reality star as with her usually brunette locks means she comes up as an English cocker spaniel.
Model and actress Cara Delevingne’s playful side was recognised by the website which chose a Dachshund or sausage dog as her canine counterpart
TV personality and former glamour model Katie Price was born in Brighton not Yorkshire and might not take kindly to the suggestion that her Terrier is ‘eager to prey on small animals’
Samantha Cameron, like Kim and Kate, is also a Cocker Spaniel, while her husband, Prime Minister David Cameron, is a golden retriever.
The Tory PM’s canine credentials include being ‘gentle and eager to please’ being ‘strong and active’ and having the ability to get along with pretty much everybody.
Kanye West’s Irish setter is apparently ‘eager and a bit stubborn’ but makes a ‘great jogging partner’.
Taylor Swift’s ‘imperial’ Pekingese character traits might be behind her world-conquering chart success
Kylie Jenner, pictured with her doggie double, is also a Pekingese. Beware of her surprising strength for such a small animal, the site warns
Kim Kardashian, pictured sporting her newly blonde locks, came up as a Maltese dog when you used the above picture but was an English Cocker Spaniel when you used a picture of her with her natural dark locks
His sister-in-law Kylie Jenner and chart-topping music star Taylor Swift both turned out to be small Pekingnese dogs, ‘raised to be pampered’ with ‘an imperial mindset’ and surprisingly strong bodies for their size.
We also tried the site on Queen of Pop Madonna (cavalier King Charles Spaniel: ‘gentle, affectionate, sweet-tempered) and TV personality Katie Price (Yorkshire terrier: ‘energetic, eager to prey on small animals, vocal’).
Model Cara Delevingne’s sense of fun was recognised by the site which deemed her a playful dachshund.
‘Gentle and affectionate’: Queen of Pop Madonna is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Author JK Rowling, whose books often feature witches and wizards who can transfigure into animals like dogs, is a Keeshond breed whose traits include intelligence and caution
Yeezy creator Kanye West’s artistic temperament was recognised by the site which declared him an Irish Setter who is ‘eager and a bit stubborn’
